Quicksilver Resources Inc. acquired 19 leases covering about 127,000 acres in the Horn River Basin in northeast British Columbia, according to a company statement, and plans to drill in the area in winter 2008-2009.
The contiguous acreage has been identified to include “more than 500 feet of gross thickness from the Upper Devonian Muskwa and Klua shale formations at depths ranging from 7,800 to 9,000 feet,” according to Company statement.
